Edwardian "Harlequin" Multi-Stone Fringe Necklace chinese made in France in theDATE: Edwardian, c. 1910 Glorious antique harlequin fringe necklace dating from the Edwardian period, circa 1910. It's set with a dazzling array of coloured gemstones: white, blue and pink sapphire; peridot; various garnets; citrine; amethyst; and opal. Crafted in 15 karat gold throughout, each stone is held in place by a gold thin collet setting giving their cut and colour centre stage. The name "harlequin" was often used to describe jewellery set
